Infiniti Red Bull Racing Team Principal Christian Horner is confident that the Milton Keynes based outfit will catch the Williams Martini Racing Team this season.

The four time world champions have endured a frustrating start to their 2015 campaign and have scored just 23 points from the opening four Grand Prix of the season compared to championship leaders the Mercedes AMG PETRONAS F1 Team who head to next weekend’s Spanish Grand Prix on 159 points.

Infiniti Red Bull Racing are currently in fourth place in the championship, 38 points behind the Williams Martini Racing Team.

Red Bull have also suffered reliability problems with this year’s Renault power unit as Daniel Ricciardo suffered his third power unit failure of the season and will go onto his fourth unit for next weekend’s Spanish Grand Prix.

Horner said that Renault have used the two week break wisely carrying out a lot of work on their dyno’s in France to iron out the problems that they have encountered since the start of the season and he is hopeful that the team will be able to show in Barcelona the improvements that have been made.

Horner went on to say that the teams aim to continue improving the performance of the car which will hopefully help them to close the gap to Williams in the championship.
