Hamilton can still beat Rosberg

Lewis Hamilton is confident that he has speed advantage to overall his team Nico Rosberg at the top of the Driver's champion after falling to 29 point's behind Nico Rosberg in the championship standing's. Hamilton has suffered two retirement's this season after failing to finish the opening race in Australia , a Grand Prix which his team mate won and also failed to finish the Canadian Grand Prix where Rosberg finished in 2nd place behind Daniel Ricciardo.

Last time out in Austria, Hamilton finished the race in second place behind Rosberg. The 2008 world champion has secured four Grand Prix victories in a row from Malaysia to Spain, however he has seen a four point lead over Rosberg completed overhauled by Rosberg.

The Brackley based squad now head to their first home Grand Prix of the season, the British Grand Prix at Silverstone where, last year Nico Rosberg took victory while Lewis Hamilton finished the event in fourth place behind Red Bull's Mark Weebber and Ferrari's Fernando Alonso. Hamilton will be hoping to that he can be in a position to take the victory

Hamilton has won in Silverstone, he took victory here in a rain affected 2008 Grand Prix, the year he won the championship. He will be hoping for a similar result next weekend. Hamilton said:

'There's not much more I can do, I've got good pace, I just need to execute it, I will work hard to make sure I do that. 

Hamilton explained that he suffered a lose of power with his W05 during the Austrian Grand Prix. He said:

'I easily had the pace but my power was dropping and his wasn't, so I need to investigate what that was. We are always trying to manage power, so perhaps it could have been a bit more optimal.'
