Infiniti Red Bull Racing team boss Christian Horner and Chief Technical Officer Adrian Newey have heaped praise on Daniel Ricciardo who has done an incredible job so far this season having outperformed team mate and reigning world champion Sebastian Vettel. Speaking to Autosport, Newey said:

'Daniel has been massively impressive this year. He has certainly exceeded all our expectations. What I find amazing about him is how calm he is in the car. When he's on the radio it's like he's sitting down with a cup of tea and driving one-handed. It's quite remarkable.'

Daniel Ricciardo heads to the Austrian Grand Prix this weekend in third place in the championship, 19 point's ahead of team mate Sebastian Vettel following his win last time out at the Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal two week's ago.

Christian Horner echoed Newey's thoughts on Daniel Ricciardo. The team boss said:

'The way he has driven, the way he has made his passing moves, he has driven faultlessly all season. He grabbed his opportunity [in Canada] and I am delighted for him that he won his first grand prix. Horner went on to say: 'There were questions asked when we chose him as our driver alongside Sebastian and I think he has demonstrated beyond all doubt that he fully deserves that position.'

The Milton Keynes based outfit are currently in second place in the Constructors championship, 119 point's behind leaders Mercedes AMG F1 Team as they head to their home race, the Austrian Grand Prix at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg this weekend.
