Force India trial 'info wing' device developed by Anthony Hamilton

(Sahara Force India Formula One Team)

The Sahara Force India Formula One team's Spike Goddard ran a development part on the VJM07 on Wednesday morning the final day of the end of season two day test at the Yas Marina circuit in Abu Dhabi. The new device known as the 'info wing' was developed by Anthony Hamilton, the father of new Formula One world champion Lewis Hamilton.

The device has been designed as a way of enhancing the spectator experience. It made up of LED display lights that show the driver's name, their race position and the tyre compound currently being used by that particular driver.

The test was overseen and approved by the FIA. It is unclear whether or not we will see the new system in Formula One in 2015.
