The Caterham F1 Team crowd funding project has reached 82% of the £2.35 million the Leafield outfit need to go to this weekend's Formula One season finale at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix at the Yas Marina circuit.
With six days to go the crowd-funding initiative has had £1,928,270 pledged to the team. This news comes just one day after Finbarr O'Connell, the administrator from Smith and Williamson who is currently running the team confirmed that Kamui Kobayashi will drive for the team in Abu Dhabi this weekend having missed the Belgian Grand Prix earlier this season having been replaced by WEC driver Andre Lotterer while Kobayashi spent time at the factory in Leafield.
Mr O'Connell has confirmed that the team will bring forty staff members to the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and that the outfit will announce their second driver for the race as soon as possible.
