F14T corresponding with what the windtunnel says

(Ferrari via Twitter)

The Ferrari team have said that they are very pleased with their new F14T as the way the car has behaved on track has corresponded with what the wind-tunnel said the car would do.

The news will come as a great relief for the Italian team as last season they major problems with their wind-tunnel as the car was not acting the way it should have. As a result of this the team had a very difficult season due to the fact that once they had resolved the issues with the wind-tunnel it was too late, they had fallen behind Redd Bull and Mercedes in the Constructors championship battle.

The team had a very successful test in Jerez last week as Kimi Raikkonen topped the times on day 1 and on the final day of the test on Friday Fernando Alonso completed 115 laps, the most of any driver on that day.

The team will be hoping that they can win at least one championship this season as the last time they won the Drivers championship was back in 2007 when Kimi Raikkonen won the title. Their last Constructors title came the following year in 2008. This season, the team arguably have the strongest driver pairing on the grid this season as they have rehired Raikkonen.

The pair have a combined 42 victories and a total of 411 Grand Prix under their belts, making them one of the most experienced pairing's on the grid.
