According to media reports in the UK, the Williams F1 Team look set to announce a major new sponsor in Martini.

It is all change at the Grove based squad this season as they have a new driver as Felipe Massa joins the team from Ferrari after the Brazilian was replaced at the Italian team by Kimi Raikkonen. The team also have a new engine supplier, switching from Renault power to Mercedes. This new partnership has so far proven to be a good one as the FW36 has shown great initial pace and reliability. However, it is still early days in the preseason testing phase.

Deputy Team principal Claire Williams announced at the Brazilian Grand Prix last season that the team would be announcing some new commercial partnership's in time for the start of the new season.

If it is turns out to be true that Martini will become a new commercial partner of the Williams team it won't be the US based cocktail manufacturer's first time being involved in Formula One as they were involved in sponsorship of the Ferrari team and they have also been involved in trackside signage.

It would be fantastic to see a company of Martini's size sponsoring the Williams F1 Team as it would help the outfit to get back to where they should be in F1 and that is challenging for point's and podium finishes.
