Australia's Channel 10 have confirmed that former Formula One driver Mark Webber will be a guest commentator for the station's live coverage of the 2014 season opener in Melbourne next month.
Webber retired from Formula One at the end of last season after 12 season's in the sport. During his time in Formula One the Australian drove for Minardi, Jaguar, Williams and Red Bull Racing. Webber enjoyed his great success in the sport with Red Bull coming extremely close to winning the 2010 Formula One World Championship.
For 2014, he joins the Porsche LMP1 project as the German manufacturer will take part in the World Endurance Championship from this season onwards, Webber will make his World Endurance Championship racing returning at the 6 hours of Silverstone on April 20th.
In an interview Webber stated that he believes that the potential is there for his replacement at Red Bull Racing and compatriot Daniel Ricciardo to take his maiden Formula One victory this season.
