Reigning world champion Sebastian Vettel has stated that there is no quick fix for his team as they suffered from a fresh problem with their new RB10 on the opening day of the second winter test at the Bahrain International Circuit.

The German failed to get out on track this morning and when he eventually did get up and running he could only many 14 lap's before his car came to a halt with smoke coming out the back of his car. The team ended the first test in Jerez early to find a solution to the initial problem that they had. The team have insisted that significant improvements have been made since Jerez, however the reigning world champions have conceded that they are playing catch up.

Vettel has said that the new car seems ok but that that hey need to get more running in the car. The German will once again drive for the team tomorrow before handing over to Daniel Ricciardo on Friday.

Vettel also said that the issues that the team have been experiencing so far are not totally unexpected and that is why they go testing.

The team have refused to elaborate on what the new problem is but are hopeful that they will make progress when testing resumes tomorrow.
