McLaren Mercedes Jenson Button has confirmed that he is enjoying his racing and is happy racing following his fourth place finish last time out at the Russian Grand Prix in Sochi amid continuing uncertainty about his Formula One future.

However speaking in Austin, Button's manager Richard Goddard stated that Button is 'a wanted man.' With three races remaining in 2014, Goddard said that he is in regular phone contact with McLaren Chairman Ron Dennis who has told Goddard that:

'I'm in regular contact with Ron and there is nothing new. He speaks to me and says 'I'm really sorry, but we're still in a holding pattern. I know perhaps we shouldn't be, but we are.'.

For his part Button has always expressed his desire to remain with the Woking based outfit next season as they embark on their new partnership with the Honda Motor Company.

Button stated:

'Anything is possible in life if you have the right circumstances or the right situation, but that has to be there to make it happen.'
