Philippe Bianchi, the father of Jules Bianchi has spoken to Gazzetta Dello Sport about his his son Jules who continues to receive treatment in the Mie medical centre in Japan following his horrific crash at the Japanese Grand Prix in Suzuka. The Marussia driver remains in a critical but stable condition.
Philippe who is in Japan to support his son told the paper that every time the phone ring he expects it to be the hospital to inform him that Jules is dead.
However Bianchi has said that his son 'won't give up', I speak to him. I know he can hear me.'
Philippe went on to say:
'His doctors have told us that this is already a miracle, no one has ever survived such a serious accident'. But Jules won't give up'.
Philippe also said that the family have been touched very deeply by the support for Jules and the family.
He confirmed that Jules will be transferred to a hospital in Tokyo when and if he gets a bit better but they are unsure when this will happen.
