New Force India deal should be in place within the next week

Sahara Force India Formula One Team's Sergio Perez has stated that he will have a new deal in place with the Silverstone based outfit next week. Speaking to the Press Association Perez stated that his priority is to secure his Formula One future with the team.

The Mexican secured Sahara Force India's first podium finish since the 2009 Belgian Grand Prix when his finished the Bahrain Grand Prix in third place behind the two Mercedes. 

Perez is hoping to establish himself at Sahara Force India next season which he says that he has't done that since his debut season in Formula One in 2011. Perez is currently in eleventh place in the championship on 47 points with three race's to go. 

Formula One heads to the Circuit of the Americas next weekend which is effectively a home race for Perez. He will be hoping to continue his points scoring run there, last time out in Russia he finished the race in 10th place to score one point. In Austin last season, Perez finished the race in 7th place for McLaren. 

Although his race engineer, Gianpiero Lambiase is leaving the team to go to Infiniti Red Bull Racing, Perez believes that he is in a great position to move forward with the Silverstone based outfit next season.
