(Pirelli Motorsport Media)

Formula One tyre supplier Pirelli have confirmed that following a meeting of the tyre working group, the Italian manufacturer has decided to make changes to their tyre choices for the Brazilian Grand Prix which takes place a week after the US Grand Prix in Austin.

Over the last two year's Pirelli has brought the Medium and Hard compound tyre to Interlagos, however ahead of the season's race the track service has been resurfaced and a number of concerns have been raised over that selection for this season so as a result Pirelli announced on Friday that they will bring the Yellow walled Soft and the White walled Medium compound tyre for Brazil which will also be used next time out in Austin, Texas for the US Grand Prix.

Speaking about the announcement, Pirelli motorsport director Paul Hembery stated:

'We’ve always said that we would be open to any changes if they were required. After further technical analysis of the impact of the revised circuit surface, together with a risk assessment suggesting a low probability of compound overheating due to extreme track temperatures, we have made this change with the unanimous agreement of all 11 teams.'
