The Scuderia Toro Rosso Formula One team head to the season finale in Abu Dhabi this weekend aiming to get back in the points after Jean Eric Vergne and Daniil Kvyat failed to score last time out at the Brazilian Grand Prix where the pair finished the race in eleventh (Kvyat) and thirteenth place respectively (Vergne).

The Italian team are currently in seventh place in the championship on 30 points, 20 ahead of the Lotus F1 Team.

Russian Daniil Kvyat, who made his Formula One debut with Toro Rosso this season is preparing for his final race with the Italian team as he will make the step up to Infiniti Red Bull Racing to replace Sebastian Vettel after impressing Red Bull management having received praise from Christian Horner.

For Jean Eric Vergne, the Frenchman goes into the Winter break facing an uncertain future having lost out to Daniel Ricciardo for a Red Bull seat this season and missing out to Daniil Kvyat for the Red Bull seat alongside Daniel Ricciardo for next season.

Teenager Max Verstappen will make his Formula One debut with Toro Rosso next season replacing Daniil Kvyat.

Jean Eric Vergne is currently in 13th place in the championship on 22 points while Daniil Kvyat is in 15th place on eight points and will be hoping to end his debut season in Formula One on a high before making the step up to Red Bull.

It is not yet known who will partner Verstappen next season with Toro Rosso team principal Franz Tost admitting that Jean Eric Vergne still has a chance to remain with the team as Kvyat is moving on.
