Ferrari team principal Marco Mattiacci has described Kimi Raikkonen's performance in the Brazilian Grand Prix on Sunday as 'terrific'. The Finn had a fantastic battle with team mate Fernando Alonso and only lost out to the Spaniard due to the fact that Alonso was on fresher tyre's.
The Italian felt that Raikkonen's performance showed that the Finn has improved substantially as he is more comfortable with the F14-T.
Mattiacci said:
'Kimi is a top professional, he doesn't need to respond to positive pressure.' I am extremely happy for the race he did'.
Raikkonen, who finished the race in 7th place in the race just behind Alonso felt that had he not had the problem with the front jack during his second stop he would have finished the race ahead of Alonso.
The Iceman felt that he had a better feeling with the car although he feels that there is still room for improvement but that things are definitely moving in the right direction.
