A Honda powered McLaren Formula One car made its on track debut during a filming day at the Silverstone circuit in Northamptonshire on Friday
The Woking based outfit's test driver Oliver Turvey drove the MP4-29H completing 100 KM as per FIA regulations which state that this is the mileage that can be completed during a filming day.
The team's other test and reserve driver Stoffel Vandoorne was also driving for the team as he drove Ayrton Senna's championship winning MP4-4.
The team confirmed that the MP4-29H/1X1 came to halt out on track but that they were able to get it up and running immediately. The team also confirmed that the test was carried out below racing speeds so it was just a systems check ahead of its full on track debut at the end of season test in Abu Dhabi.
