The Sauber F1 Team head to the Brazilian Grand Prix at the Interlagos circuit this weekend hoping to build on them momentum that Adrian Sutil showed in qualifying for last weekend's United States Grand Prix in Austin Texas as for the first time this season the German managed to get the C33 in Q3 for the first time this season.

The Swiss based outfit have had an extremely difficult season in 2014 and have yet to score a point this season. Sutil had a tough race at the Circuit of the Americas as he was forced to retire from the race after Sahara Force India's Sergio Perez collided with him which took the pair out of the race at the start of Sunday's event.

The team will be hoping for a repeat of last years race in Brazil which saw Nico Hulkenberg score an eighth place finish scoring four points. Speaking ahead of the race this weekend, Esteban Gutierez who finished the United States Grand Prix in 14th place one lap down the Mexican stated:

'Interlagos is a track I always associate with Ayrton Senna. There is a lot of history behind it, and you feel the great vibes around the event. The weather is pretty special as it changes a lot, which makes it exciting. Previously, it has been the last race of the season, but this year the final round will take place in Abu Dhabi.

Last year it was the first time I got to know Interlagos, and I enjoyed driving on this track. In comparison to other circuits, this is a short track; it has one very long straight, which means that engine power will be important. For the quick corners 6 and 7, which go uphill, it is crucial to have a good balance for the car. Especially in wet conditions, the track is fun to drive, and you can also go over the kerbs. It is a nice old style circuit.'

Adrian Sutil commented on this weekend's race where last season he finished outside the points for Sahara Force India by saying:

'Interlagos is a nice track in South Amercia where my father’s roots are. It is an event which I view very warmly. Mostly the races are spectacular, which often comes from the unpredictable weather. The track is short, but packs a punch with many bumps. It is not easy to drive. It is always a great race weekend, and I am looking forward to it. I think we can hope for points there, however, it will not be easy.'

The team were extremely unlucky not to score points in the United States and Head of Track Engineering Giampaolo Dall'Ara believes that the weather will play a key role in the outcome of this weekend's race saying:

'The track and the atmosphere at Interlagos are fascinating. Getting the right balance for the car through the infield is a real challenge, given the speed requirements of the remainder of the circuit. A versatile and efficient car and strong driving skills can make a difference. On top of that, the weather is usually changeable. We will again be provided with the medium and the soft tyres, which are expected to suit the race well.'
