Sky Sports F1 HD commentator Martin Brundle has stated that
the situation surrounding Fernando Alonso does not make sense.
Alonso suffered concussion following a crash in testing at
the Barcelona Circuit de Catalunya on February 22nd and sat out last
weeks’ final test at the Spanish circuit. It was confirmed on Tuesday that the
McLaren driver will miss the opening race of the 2015 Formula One season in
Australia in less than two weeks’ time.
McLaren have called on test and reserve driver Kevin
Magnussen to replace Alonso for the opening race alongside Jenson Button.
Brundle believes that there is a lot of smoke and mirrors
surrounding the situation. The former McLaren driver believes that there is something
not quite right.
