Giedo Van Der Garde’s management team have dropped their
contempt action against the Sauber F1 Team which as a result means that both
Felipe Nasr and Marcus Ericsson are free to continue to compete with the Swiss
based outfit this weekend.
In statement just released Giedo Van Der Garde stated that
he respects the decision of the FIA with regards to the issue of the mandatory
Super Licence and also stated that he respects both Felipe Nasr and Marcus
Ericsson.
The Dutch driver went on to say that his management team
will sit down with Sauber next week to find a mutual agreement.
The whole situation has put a shadow over the opening Grand
Prix of the 2015 Formula One season and at least for now the team can get with
the preparations for Sunday’s race.
