The Manor Formula One Team have been given the green light to race in 2015 after their modified 2014 chassis passed all the mandatory FIA crash tests on Thursday.

Manor took to their official Twitter to confirm the news saying:

‘Our big news of today is that we have now passed the FIA crash tests. Well done team! That’s it – We’re all set for Melbourne!’

The team also tweeted a picture of their new driver Will Stevens as he conducted his seat fitting.

Team President and Sporting Director Graeme Lowdon commended the efforts of the engineering staff saying:

‘Some very clever engineers have used their time and solved their technical problems to deliver us a fully legal car but with a very high degree of carry over due to the time scale.’
