(Sauber F1 Team)
Former Sauber F1 Team test and reserve driver Giedo Van Der
Garde is taking the Swiss based outfit to court in Victoria, Australia as the
driver bids to secure a race seat for the season opening Australian Grand Prix
which takes place in less than two weeks.
The Dutchman believes that he has a valid contract to race
for the team this season however the Swiss outfit elected to sign two new
drivers with Felipe Nasr and Marcus Ericsson signed up to race for the team
this year. Van Der Garde has already won a legal case in Switzerland
Due to the ongoing situation between the two parties neither
Van Der Garde nor the Sauber F1 Team will comment on it.
Van Der Garde drove in Formula One with the Caterham F1 Team
in 2013 before moving to the Sauber F1 Team as test and reserve driver last
year.
