The Sahara Force India Formula One Team have had an
extremely busy build up to the Australian Grand Prix as on Friday they
announced not one but two new sponsorship agreements. The first is a deal with
the NEC Corporation a leading IT Technologies company. The Silverstone based
outfit have struck a deal with the Mexican arm of the company.
The new agreement will see NEC become premium ICT partner to
the Sahara Force India Formula One Team and speaking about the new partnership
the outfits Team Principal and Managing Director Dr Vijay Mallya stated:
‘It’s a pleasure to welcome NEC as our Premium
ICT Partner. We share their passion for innovation and technology, which
underpins the entire Formula One industry. NEC is a global player with a rich
history supporting all areas of business and we look forward to working with
them going forward.’
Executive Vice President of NEC Corporation Takayuki Morita
stated:
‘NEC is looking forward to building a strong
relationship with Sahara Force India. Formula One is a truly global sport that
brings excitement to loyal fans all over the world and NEC is honoured to be
supporting a team competing at the highest level of world motorsport. Our
ambition at NEC is to contribute to businesses and customers on the same global
scale.’
NEC Mexico CEO Enrique Leiva stated:
‘We are very happy to start this exciting
journey with Sahara Force India, especially with Mexico hosting a Grand Prix
race later this year. We are very pleased to support the team alongside
its other strong partners such as TELMEX, TELCEL, Interprotección, and
Consorcio Aristos. I am sure we will be able to do great things together. It´s
also a great pleasure to support two of the most exciting talents on the grid
in Sergio Perez and Nico Hulkenberg. Sergio, in particular, is an important
role model in Mexico and represents a great example for the aspirations of the
younger generation.’
The Sahara Force India Formula One Team have also signed an
agreement with Channel IT as official team partner. The company will supply the
Silverstone based outfit with mobile telecom products and services. Channel IT
branding will appear on the side pod wing of the VJM08 starting this weekend at
the Australian Grand Prix.
Speaking about the new partnership, Team Principal and
Managing Director Dr Vijay Mallya commented saying:
‘As we gear up for the start of the season it’s
great to welcome Channel IT as a team partner. They are a significant player in
the mobile world and recognise the huge potential of using Formula One to raise
brand awareness and drive new business. I’m sure they will enjoy being part of
our journey this season and we will do all we can to make this partnership a
success.’
CEO of Channel IT Group Bassim Haider stated:
‘In line with our strategic direction to take
Channel IT brands such as Nairtime, ChannelVAS and AdVoice to new markets, we
expect Sahara Force India to accelerate this process. Formula One reaches all
corners of the globe and we are looking forward to meeting existing and new
customers in these vibrant places.’
