New three year contract for the Malaysian Grand Prix

Organisers of the Malaysian Grand Prix at the Sepang circuit have confirmed that they have extended their contract to host the event until the end of the 2018 season.

The race which made its debut on the Formula One calendar in 1999 and today’s race was won by Scuderia Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel. The news of the contract extension was confirmed by the Malaysian prime minister’s office. 

The prime minister's office also confirmed that PETRONAS will remain as title sponsor over the duration of the new contract.
