The Manor Formula One Team have been summoned to appear before
the FIA to explain why they have not participated in this weekend’s on track
action in Albert Park.
The team who were rescued just a number of weeks ago by
Northern Irish businessman Stephen Fitzpatrick with former Sainbury’s boss
Justin King who was installed as Chairman of the board of directors.
The team failed to make it out on to the Albert Park circuit
for qualifying and by not doing so they were in breach of the regulations and
have been required by the race stewards in Australia to provide a written
statement explaining why the team missed the session.
A representative of the team was also required to appear in
front of the stewards at 8PM local time on Saturday evening.
The team made it out to Australia and the team were working
on the cars however they had problems getting the car up and running due to
software issues.
