(Sauber F1 Team)
Dutch Formula One driver Giedo Van Der Garde has won his
legal case against the Sauber F1 Team. The driver took action against the Swiss
based outfit in a Victorian Supreme Court stating that he was entitled to race
for the team at the opening Grand Prix of the 2015 Formula One season having
been promised the drive by the outfit.
However the team went on to sign Felipe Nasr and Marcus
Ericsson for this season and the ruling in Victoria follows Van Der Garde
winning a legal case against the team in Switzerland.
The team have already stated that they will immediately
appeal the decision. They argue that putting Van Der Garde in the car would
cause risk to other competitors and team personnel as he has not been trained
with the new C34.
The Victoria Supreme Court ruled that Van Der Garde should
race for the Sauber F1 Team.
