Haas not prioritizing drivers at this stage

Haas F1 Team founder Gene Haas has confirmed that at this stage in the development of his new F1 project the team have other priorities that they need to sort out before approaching potential drivers for their debut season in 2016.

Haas recently confirmed that the team will be supplied with power units by Ferrari which Haas hopes will develop into a technical partnership between the two company's. 

Speaking to The Observer newspaper, Haas stated that the team are hopeful of that they will have both of the cars assembled and ready to go in November next year in plenty of time to prepare for testing them two months later in January 2016 ahead of their first race of the season.

When pushed for an answer regarding driver's Haas stated that from a sponsorship and marketing point of view an American driver would be ideal.

He also confirmed that the team would the team would be looking for at least one experienced driver and that they could be open with the second seat.
