Infiniti Red Bull Racing team principal Christian Horner has confirmed that he was informed late last night that Sebastian Vettel is leaving the team. The German who has won all of his four championships with the Milton Keynes based outfit is expected to replace Fernando Alonso at Ferrari alongside Kimi Raikkonen.

It has been reported that the team had signed off on Vettel's merchandise for 2015 but this has obviously been halted. Speaking about the news, Horner told the BBC that he spoke to Red Bull owner Dietrich Mateschitz last night along with Red Bull motorsport adviser Dr Helmut Marko and they decided to promote Daniil Kvyat.
