McLaren Mercedes Jenson Button has stated that he is unsure if he would accept a concrete contract from the Woking based outfit if one was made as speculation continues to mount over the 2009 world champions Formula One future with rumors suggesting Fernando Alonso will join the team next season pushing Button out.
Speaking to the media in the paddock in Sao Paulo ahead of the weekend's Brazilian Grand Prix Button wasn't giving anything away when asked if he would be staying at Woking next season.
'That is a good question that I cannot answer at this moment in time. When you are put in a position that many drivers have been in over the year, not sure if your contract is going to be renewed, it opens your eyes to different challenges and different possibilities.'
Button has been linked with a move away from Formula One in favour of joining former F1 driver and friend Mark Webber on the grid in the World Endurance Championship next season but earlier this week one team that he was reportedly talking to Porsche, denied that their had been any contact made from either their side or Button's.
Button has stated that he is excited about the future whatever that may hold for him and looking forward to racing in Brazil this weekend where he claimed his 2009 world championship and scored his first ever points as a Formula One driver with the Williams F1 Team in the year 2000 when he finished the race in 6th place to claim one point after starting the race from 9th.
