(Alastair Staley for the Lotus F1 Team)
The Lotus F1 Team's Romain Grosjean has confirmed that an announcement will be made about his Formula One future over the course of this weekends Brazilian Grand Prix at the Interlagos circuit. The Frenchman has a contract with the Enstone based outfit for next season however their are performance related clauses that mean he is free to leave the team if that is what he wants to according to Lotus F1 Team boss Gerard Lopez,
Grosjean has scored the bulk of the Lotus F1 Team's 10 points this season and are currently in eighth place in the championship.
Despite their disappointing 2014 season, the future looks bright for the Enstone based team as in 2015 they will have a supply of Mercedes power units which they hope will give them the opportunity to have the success and performance gains seen by the Williams Martini Racing team this season. The Grove based outfit are set to finish the 2014 season in third place in the championship.
Grosjean joined the Lotus F1 Team alongside Kimi Raikkonen ahead of the 2012 Formula One season and scored three podium finishes on his way to scoring 96 points and finished the season in eighth place.
Last season was much better for the Lotus driver as he scored 6 podium finishes on his way to finishing the season in seventh place in the championship on 132 points, The Frenchman is currently in 14th place in the championship on eight points equal with Toro Rosso's Daniil Kvyat.
