Alonso denies Marussia link

Fernando Alonso has denied reports that he is set to buy the Marussia F1 Team amid media reports that the Spaniard had bought the team which has lodged an entry for 2015 as Manor F1 Team for $1. 

Alonso has also confirmed that he has spoken with Lotus F1 Team Chairman Gerard Lopez however it was completely unrelated to Formula One matters with the Spaniard stating that it was relating to business opportunities outside of the sport such as cycling.

Alonso has also confirmed that he has not set a time time frame in which to make an announcement about his Formula One future as speculation continues to mount that the Spaniard will replace Jenson Button at McLaren-Honda next season to driver alongside Kevin Magnussen at the Woking based outfit.

Amid hints from Button himself that he may not be in Formula One next season Alonso said on Thursday in Sao Paulo that it would be a big lose to the sport if Button is not on the grid next season.

Alonso reiterated what he said in Japan that he made his knows what he would like to do and that hopefully he will be able to announce something soon.
