Mercedes AMG PETRONAS championship leader Lewis Hamilton has vowed to push on right until the end of the season to make sure that he wins this years world championship.

The 2008 world champion took a big step to claiming his second drivers championship after taking his tenth win of season at the United States Grand Prix at the Circuit of the Americas on Sunday finishing the race 4.3s ahead of team mate Nico Rosberg and as a result carries a 24 point advantage to this weekends Brazilian Grand Prix at Interlagos.

Speaking after claiming his second victory in three years at the Circuit of the Americas Hamilton said:

'It doesn't really change, same as for Nico really, because we're hunting for those points, I think during the year you have to be balanced in the risks you take and I think that so far I've not been taking too many risks.'

Hamilton went on a winning streak earlier this season winning ever race from Malaysia to the Spanish Grand Prix before taking victory at home at the British Grand Prix in Silverstone. Rosberg has only taken four victories so far this season including the season opener in Melbourne Australia along with Monaco, Austria and his home race in Germany.

It was reported over the course of the United States Grand Prix weekend that Nico Rosberg's problems have come about as a result of the reduction in radio communication between the driver and pit-wall which was introduced earlier this season.

The Brackley based outfit have refuted this claim however as the German has taken pole position in two of the last five Grand Prix and the team stated in the USA Rosberg looked after his Pirelli tyre's too much and this is why the German appeared to struggle in Austin.
