Adrian Sutil is not the only driver upset about the announcement that the Sauber F1 Team have signed both Marcus Ericsson and Felipe Nasr for next season as their test and reserve driver Giedo Van Der Garde who felt he was in the running for the drive stated that he found out through the team press release that they had signed Felipe Nasr for next season.
Speaking to GPUpdate.net the Dutch driver stated:
'I am very surprised, although I can't say anything more at this moment.'
Van Der Garde who is in Brazil with the Swiss based team stated that he will remain in Sao Paulo for the weekend with the team before returning home to discuss the situation with his management team.
For her part, Sauber F1 Team principal Monisha Keltenborn stated as far as she is concerned:
'The situation is clear'.
When she was asked about whether or not Adrian Sutil would go to the contract recognitions board.
