Restricted access unacceptable

Scuderia Ferrari Team Principal Maurizio Arrivabene along with Test driver Esteban Gutierrez as well as a number of the Maranello based outfit’s mechanics took to the grandstands in Barcelona on Saturday.

The new Ferrari boss was spotted watching the on track action alongside Formula One fans who were attending day three of winter testing at the Barcelona Circuit de Catalunya.

Maurizio confirmed that reason behind it was as protest and to provoke action as it has been revealed that from the Australian Grand Prix onwards team’s will be restricted in the number of Paddock passes that they will be allowed to hand out. The Italian believes that the reduced allocation is ‘not acceptable.

Arrivabene stated that Formula One needs to bring Formula One to the people similar to the likes of golf as fans of that sport follow the players around the course. The Italian revealed that he does not want to see the Paddock empty.

The Italian revealed that he enjoyed meeting the fans in Spain on Saturday and they were extremely knowledgeable about Formula One. Arrivabene also revealed that he will do this again during the season. The team poised for photographs with fans and Arrivabene revealed that he really enjoyed the experience with the fans.
