Organizers of October's Russian Grand Prix at the Olympic park in Sochi have confirmed that the race which is due to take place from 10-12 October will go ahead as planned despite the shooting down of Malaysian Airlines flight MH17 over Eastern Ukraine.
In a statement to the Press Association they said:
'all the preparations are on track and run according to the schedule, organisers are confident that the inaugural Russian Grand Prix will be comfortable for all.'
