The Honda Motor Company have revealed the first image of their brand new 1.6 litre V6 turbocharged power unit that will be in the back of the 2015 McLaren MP4-30.
A spokesperson for Honda confirmed that the power unit is still under development and that during the Japanese Grand Prix this weekend the company will release a preview video of what the new unit will sound like.
The company has also confirmed that their new facility in Milton Keynes where the power units will be prepared before and after each race in now fully operational. Honda's Head of F1 Yasuhisa Arai confirmed that the company have begun full bench tests ahead of their debut with McLaren in Australia in March.
Meanwhile former world champion Alain Prost is confident that the new partnership will be a massive success. He stated that he thinks it is going to be very interesting.
