Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen has stated that he does not feel the need to change his driving style to be more comfortable with the F14-T as he feels that he made a break through with the cars set-up last time out at the Singapore Grand Prix.

The Finn has revealed that the problem is not with his driving style but with the issues they are having with the car and he feels that once they sort out their issues with the car then they will be in for some good results. The Finn also revealed that changing his driving style is not the right way to fix car issues and that they have been improving race by race this season and knew from the very start of the season that they would have a tough year.

Speaking about last time out in Singapore, Raikkonen said:

'In Singapore, we finally had the speed to put together a quick single flying lap in qualifying, as the car behaved the way I’d been hoping for, - It was just a shame we could not maximise the performance of the car because of a minor issue before the last flying lap.

It meant we could not do much in the race, as I was stuck in traffic and couldn’t exploit my pace. But for me, the positive thing that weekend was I finally had a good feeling from the car, something I had been waiting for a long time this year.'

As for what he expects at this weekend's Japanese Grand Prix, Raikkonen told Ferrari's official website:

'It’s a high power circuit, but also technically very challenging, “So we are looking forward to see how our car goes there compared to the front running teams. I like Suzuka a lot. It’s an old-school type of racing circuit, the sort that always gives me the best feeling. I’d have to say my favourite is Spa-Francorchamps, but Suzuka comes very near in my ranking.'

In 2005 while driving for the McLaren team Kimi Raikkonen came through the field from 17th place to take a fantastic victory at the Suzuka circuit so he will be hoping for a strong result this weekend.
