(Charles Coates for the Lotus F1 Team)
Romain Grosjean would appear to have jumped the gun by announcing on both his official Twitter and Facebook accounts saying:
'Proud to announce that I'll be racing with +Lotus F1 Team in #2015 More on facebook.com/grosjeanromain #r8main #F1'
The tweet along with the message on Twitter and Facebook were then promptly deleted. It is likely however that an announcement on the Franco-Swiss drivers future will come very soon.
Grosjean who has been with the Lotus F1 Team since returning to Formula One in 2012 has endured a difficult 2014 campaign and had been rumored to be looking elsewhere for a drive next season however with the Enstone outfit having secured Mercedes power for next season it is likely that he will remain with the team next season.
It appears however that his announcement was a little premature. The team have already confirmed that Pastor Maldonado will remain with the tem for next season having replaced Kimi Raikkonen at the start of the year.
