Horner believes Red Bull will bounce back

(Bernard Asset - Renault Sport F1)

There is exactly a week to go until the start of the 2014 Formula One season in Melbourne, Australia and Red Bull Racing are one team who are on the back foot heading to Albert Park. The RB10 has proven to be a difficult car for the team to work with as they have suffered serious reliability issues with the car.

Team boss Cristian Horner believes that his team will not be competing with the Mercedes powered outfits in Melbourne however he has stated that they will bounce back.

In an interview with the UK media Horner stated that the team have had great success over the last five years and there is an extremely talented team working at the Milton Keynes based outfit and he pointed out that these are the same people who worked on their championship winning cars.

Horner has confirmed that the team are not making any predictions as to what will happen in Melbourne and has refused to say what the team will do but did confirm that their main aim is to catch up with their rivals.

Earlier this week Red Bull advisor Dr Helmut Marko suggested that the team were up to two months behind their rivals in their preparation by saying that the first race next weekend has come around two months to soon.

It make take the team a while to get up to speed but certainly by the time the sport parks up in Barcelona for the first European race they should be in a position to challenge at the front of the grid.
