McLaren Mercedes have been the first team to roll the development dice by sporting a new front nose on the MP4-29.
Speaking ahead of this weekend's race McLaren Group CEO Ron Dennis has stated that the updates that they are carrying this weekend will give them at least half a second of on advantage from where they were in the opening race of the season Down Under in Australia.
As McLaren who finished the race in 2nd and 3rd in Australia the Lotus F1 Team have continued to struggle as Romain Grosjean's E22 has just come to a halt out on track with a potential energy store problem.
With just under and hour left in the session Ferrari's Fernando Alonso currently tops the time sheets with Kevin Magnussen in the updated McLaren currently second and Nico Rosberg third.
