Red Bull fire warning shot

(Eric Vargiolu DPPI for Renault Sport F1)

Red Bull Racing could pull out of Formula One if they do not continue to produce the desired results. That is the claim of owner Dietrich Mateschitz.

The Austrian's comments come following Daniel Ricciardo's disqualification from second place at last weekend's Australian Grand Prix. Speaking to Kurier, an Austrian publication he stated: 'We can prove that we were within the limits in Australia'

Mateschitz went on to say that he is frustrated that the FIA has gone ahead with making Formula One quieter and greener. 'Formula One should be again what it always has been, the ultimate discipline'.

Red Bull Racing have been the most successful Formula One team in recent years having won all the championships from 2010 - 2013, they had a difficult pre-season period and a horrendous first race of the season.

The energy drink manufacturer bought was Jaguar Racing at the end of the 2004 Formula One season after being involved with the Sauber F1 Team as a sponsor since the mid 1990's, Mateschitz bought the Mianrdi team at the end of the 2005 season and re-branded the team Scuderia Toro Rosso. It will be interesting to see what happens with Red Bull Racing in the coming season's. Watch this space.
