Red Bull could drop appeal against Riccardo's disqualification

(Bernard Asset - Renault Sport F1)

According to reports in the media in the UK this morning, reigning world champions Red Bull Racing could be on the verge of dropping their appeal against Daniel Ricciardo's disqualification from the Australian Grand Prix.

According to Sky Sports Mark Hughes the fact that reigning world champion was openly critical of the new engine's could be used 'as leverage' by the FIA to convince the Milton Keynes to drop their appeal from Australia.

It is believed that FIA president Jean Todt was extremely disappointed that Red Bull were so opening critical of the new engine sound.

The team's appeal is due to be heard in Paris on April. We will just have to watch this space as to what will happen.
