(Bernard Asset - Renault Sport F1)

Red Bull Motorsport advisor Dr Helmut Marko has admitted that with just 12 day's to go until the opening race of the 2014 F1 season in Melbourne Australia, Red Bull Racing are at least two months behind their rivals in the development race.

The reigning world champions endured a nightmare winter test and during the final test in Bahrain last week they managed to complete 182 laps between Sebastian Vettel and Daniel Ricciardo in the RB10.

In an interview with Red Bull's TV channel SERVUS TV Marko stated that 'the opening race comes at least two months too early for us' He went on to say that it is a very serious matter for the team who have remained in Bahrain for an extra two days this week to conduct 100KM of 'filming time'

Marko is not sure if when or if the team will be able to catch their rivals. He also confirmed that the team are working 'night and day' with Renault to sort out 'Turbo lag' ahead of the first race of the season.
