Formula One teams and Pirelli have announced the dates of this year's in season testing programme. In season testing has returned this year and the first test is scheduled to take place in April for two days following the Bahrain Grand Prix.
The first test will take place on 8th and 9th April at the Sakhir circuit where Caterham will be in action. The first day of each of the in season tests will be set aside solely for Pirelli testing.
Mercedes and Williams will test during the second day of testing where it is expected that Williams Martini Racing's Development driver Susie Wolff will drive the FW36. The second test will take place following the Spanish Grand Prix in Barcelona on May 13th and 14th.
The Sauber F1 Team and Toro Rosso will take part in the test on the first day before McLaren and Force India test on 14th.
The third and final test will take place following the British Grand Prix in Silverstone on July 8th and 9th.
Ferrari and Lotus will be in action on the first day while Red in Bull Racing and the Marussia F1 Team will test on the final day. The return of in season testing means that this year there will be no Young Driver Test as the days of testing this season will enable teams to run their young drivers.
A new rule for this season also allows teams to run two driver's during Friday Practice. At the British Grand Prix for example the Williams Martini Racing team could run Susie Wolff in Free Practice One and then Felipe Nasr in Free Practice Two.
It is unclear whether the in season tests will be open to the public. Any decision on making the tests open lies with Formula One Management.
An additional tyre test will take place following the final race in Abu Dhabi where all teams will take part as Pirelli will be evaluating their 2015 rubber.
This test will take place on 25th and 26th November.
