(McLaren Mercedes)
It has emerged this morning that long time McLaren sponsor Hugo Boss has decided to end its association with the Woking based outfit opting instead to work alongside Mercedes Benz on a number of 'international projects unrelated to F1' as a result of the new agreement with Mercedes Benz the Danish company felt that it would be inappropriate for the the company to continue their relationship with McLaren.
The two company's have been in partnership since the early 1980's when Ron Dennis first became involved with McLaren.
The announcement will come as a blow to the Woking based outfit who have recently lost Lewis Hamilton and Paddy Lowe to the Mercedes AMG F1 Team aswell as sponsor Vodafone. However from next season the team will use a supply of Honda power units.
The team have yet to announce a replacement sponsor for Vodafone following a delay as a decision was due to be made on December 1st last year.
