The Lotus F1 Team's technical director Nick Chester has confirmed that the E22 will feature a new front wing for this weekend's German Grand Prix at the Hockenheimring.
Speaking to the Lotus F1 Team website Chester revealed that the front wing in not the only upgrade being brought to the car for this weekend's race as it will also feature revised bodywork which the team hopes will help improve the cars down-force. The team also have a new cooling upgrade and Chester believes that the new package which was tested in Silverstone last week is an improvement and that it should help the team to move forward.
Chester went on to say that he feels the Hungaroring which is the second race in this mid season double header should suit the E22 better then this weekend's race in Germany as it feature's more medium speed corner's rather then the mix of high and low speed corners that make up Hockenheim. The in field section of the Hockenheimring is made up of very slow speed corners which means that team's need to make sure that they have a very balanced set-up on the car.
