It has been confirmed that five Grand Prix on the 2015 Formula One calendar including the season opening Australian Grand Prix will start an hour earlier.

The race in Melbourne will start at 4PM (local time) 5AM in the United Kingdom. The Chinese Grand Prix at the Shanghai International circuit will start at 2PM (local time) 6AM in the United Kingdom. The Japanese Grand Prix at the Suzuka circuit will start at 2PM (local time) 5AM in the United Kingdom while the race in Russia will start at 2PM (local time) 11AM in the UK.

The changes to the start times is as a direct result of Jules Bianchi’s accident during last season’s Japanese Grand Prix where the Frenchman suffered serious injuries and remains in hospital in Nice.
