The Sahara Force India and the Lotus F1 Team have warned
their rivals that the Mercedes Benz power unit will be even stronger this
season.
The Lotus F1 Team join the Mercedes ranks after ending their
long term partnership with French manufacturer Renault.
The Enstone based
outfit had an extremely difficult 2014 Formula One season as the team finished
the season in 8th place in championship on 10 points. Lotus revealed
the first images of their new car, the E23 which will be driven by Romain
Grosjean and Pastor Maldonado.
Mercedes were extremely strong in 2014 as the Mercedes AMG
PETRONAS F1 Team won both the Drivers and Constructors championship, while the
Williams Martini Racing Team finished the season in third place.
Lotus F1 Team CEO Matthew Carter believes that his outfit
will make a big step forward this season.
‘Having Mercedes is a huge opportunity for us.’

Sahara Force India Formula One Team technical director
Andrew Green believes that things will be much better this season after seeing
the data from the new power unit. Green revealed that there will be a further
update later in the season.
Carter believes that the team will have a big advantage at
the start of the season as they are unsure of what the new Honda will be like
this year. The team also feel that it will be later in the year when Ferrari
and Renault get the opportunity to develop their power units.
