(McLaren Honda)
The dynamic between Jenson Button and Fernando Alonso won’t
be an issue for McLaren-Honda this season according to Sky Sports F1 HD’s Ted
Kravitz.
He believes that the pair who have a combined 504 Grand Prix
starts will have a good relationship and this means that the Woking based
outfit will be in a position to fully concentrate on developing their relationship
with Honda.
McLaren-Honda’s first test in Silverstone didn’t go too well
but the team expected to have initial problems and they were working on the
installation of the new power unit. In 2015, power unit manufacturers are
allowed to carry out development work on their power units, however Honda are
not allowed to do this as they are a new power unit supplier.
However the Japanese manufacturer are hoping that the FIA
will allow them to carry out some development work as they are talking to the
sport’s governing body along with McLaren.
The team will get their first opportunity to run the new MP4-30 at next months opening test of the winter in Jerez next month.
