The Sauber F1 Team head to next weekend's German Grand Prix at the Hockenheimring in search of their first world champion points of the season. The Swiss based outfit have struggled so far this season and that continued last time out at the British Grand Prix as Esteban Gutierrez was involved in a collision with the Lotus F1 Team's Pastor Maldonado which resulted in Gutierrez retiring from the race added to that is the fact that the Mexican was handed a three place grid penalty for the German Grand Prix as a result of the clash with Maldonado.

Adrian Sutil finished the British Grand Prix in 13th place narrowly missing out scoring the teams first points of the season. Despite finishing the race the German was a lap down at the conclusion of the Grand Prix so the team will be hoping that they will be in a position to finish in point's next time out.

At the German Grand Prix last season, Nico Hulkenberg finished the race in 10th place collecting one point for the Swiss based squad.

As it stands Sauber currently lie in 10th place in the Constructors championship with only the Caterham F1 Team behind them in eleventh place. Sauber have struggled this season with a number of different issues on their C33 including the new brake by wire system, however with Sutil finishing in 13th place in Silverstone the team are certainly moving forward.

At this point last season Sauber had scored 6 point's in the championship so they are under pressure to score points next weekend in Germany.
