Vettel leads Red Bull 1-2 in Free Practice Three as Lotus shine in an extremely wet session

Reigning world champion Sebastian Vettel lead an Infiniti Red Bull Racing 1-2 in the final practice session ahead of this afternoon's qualifying session for tomorrow's British Grand Prix. The session was held under extremely wet conditions and Vettel completed six laps as did team mate Daniel Ricciardo.

It was a great session for the Lotus F1 Team as both car's finished in the top four as Pastor Maldonado finished the session in third place while Romain Grosjean was fourth despite a late spin in the wet conditions. 

Adrian Sutil set the fifth fastest time for the Sauber F1 Team while Daniil Kvyat was 6th fastest for the Toro Rosso team. The Russian completed 15 lap's this morning, the most of any driver in Free Practice. Kevin Magnussen was 7th fastest for McLaren while team mate Jenson Button was 8th. Williams Martini Racing's Valtteri Bottas was 9th while Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen rounded out the top ten.

Jean Eric Vernge finished the session just outside the top ten in eleventh place. The Frenchman finished this morning's session just ahead of the Sauber F1 Team's Esteban Gutierrez in 12th place. Felipe Massa completed just four lap's in the second Williams FW36 and was done in 13th place.

The two Sahara Force India's of Nico Hulkenberg and Sergio Perez finished the session in 14th and 15th place respectively. Caterham's Marcus Ericsson was 16th fastest and lead the battle between the Leafield based outfit and the Marussia F1 Team. Jules Bianchi was 17th fastest despite sliding two Mercedes dof the track in the tricky conditions. Kamui Kobayashi was 18th fastest for the Caterham F1 Team. He was the last driver to set a timed lap.

Marussia's Max Chilton was 19th and will take a five place gird penalty after a gearbox change. Ferrari's Fernando Alonso and the two Mercedes driver's, Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg elected not to set a timed lap in the session in order to save their tyre's for qualifying this afternoon.
